Our Policies

Policies

Booking Policy

• A deposit of US$400 per person  is due at the time of booking. Your reservation is placed on hold for 48hrs pending payment confirmation.

• Balance of payment is due 60 days prior to arrival.

• Reservations made less than 30 days prior to arrival are to be paid in full.

• Adult rates apply for any person 12 years or older and child rates apply for children 6-11 years. Children 0 -5 years stays for free.

• Unused portion of package purchased is non-refundable, including room stay, meals, boat transfers or tours.

Payments / Rates

  • • All payments are processed in Belize dollars at a rate of US$1 – BZ$2.
  • • Isla Marisol Resort is not responsible for any currency exchange rate variances or international processing fees applied by the banks or Credit Card Companies.
  • • We accept Credit and Debit cards. (Visa and Mastercard)
  • • All rates are subject to change without notice.
  • • All rates are in USD and include all taxes and park fees.
  • • All rates are based on double occupancy in each cabana or quad occupancy in the reef houses.

Gratuities

  • • Rates does not include gratuity and is at the discretion of guests. We suggest a minimum of 15% on total package cost (accommodation + activity packages) to be shared among  the island/inland staff. At checkout a full amount can be left in cash or credit card and management will ensure transparent distribution of tips to each staff member.

Cancellations

  • •For cancellations 120 or more days prior to arrival date, a $100 fee per person  will be deducted from your deposit and the remaining balance will be refunded.

  • •60-119 days prior to arrival date, a $200 fee per person will be deducted from your deposit and the remaining balance will be refunded

  • •31-59 days prior to arrival a refund of 50% on package cost will be refunded.

  • •1-30 days prior to arrival date, no refund however you will receive a credit of 60% for future stay within a one year period based on availability.

Last Minute Delays

In the event of a delay, notify Isla Marisol Resort as soon as possible using the WhatsApp button option on the bottom right of the page. Isla Marisol can sometimes accommodate last-minute schedule changes, but travel insurance is highly recommended to cover any unforeseen delays or challenges during your trip. Isla Marisol is not responsible for any additional costs incurred (including boat transfers) by delays for any reason.

Trip Insurance

Last minute delays and changes sometimes happen to even the most prepared traveler. Isla Marisol Island and Beach Resort strongly suggests purchasing comprehensive trip insurance to cover any unforeseen challenges, such as cancelled or delayed flights, acts of God, illness, injury, loss of baggage or personal items, or missed boat transfers. Isla Marisol is not responsible for any additional costs incurred (including boat transfers) by delays for any reason.

 

Our Activities Policies

We collect information about you during the checkout process on our store/ activities.

What we collect and store

While you visit our site, we’ll track:

  • Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
  • Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
  • Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order!

We’ll also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site.

When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

  • *Send you information about your account and order
  • *Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints
  • *Process payments and prevent fraud
  • *Set up your account for our store
  • *Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes
  • *Improve our store offerings
  • *Send you marketing messages, if you choose to receive them

*If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.

We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for XXX years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.

We will also store comments or reviews, if you choose to leave them.

Who on our team has access

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access:

  • Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
  • Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds and support you.
