Diving near Glover’s Reef from an island base

Stay on Southwest Caye and explore the coral gardens and reef walls of Glover’s Reef, Belize. Reef walls, coral gardens and changing marine life

Marine wildlife is part of the reef environment, but individual sightings and specific sites cannot be promised.

Planning diving in southern Belize

If you are building a southern Belize itinerary, coordinate your mainland journey through Dangriga with the resort’s island transfers. Isla Marisol is on an offshore caye, so review the route to Southwest Caye before finalizing flight or road connections. Compare cabanas and Reef Houses and island packages to find a stay that fits your diving plans.

Local diving or a Belize Blue Hole excursion?

The Great Blue Hole is at Lighthouse Reef, a different atoll from Glover’s Reef. Our current rate card lists a Blue Hole Dive as a special excursion with a minimum of six participants per departure; staff may combine parties. Ask reservations to confirm eligibility, dates, the full schedule and inclusions. It is separate from nearby local dives and is not an automatic inclusion in every stay.

Read our Blue Hole diving and Glover’s Reef comparison to plan the right mix for your holiday.

Share your experience and equipment requirements

Tell reservations your certification, recent diving experience and equipment needs. Tanks and weights are listed in the resort’s diving arrangements; review rental equipment and training in your itemized trip summary. If you are new to diving or returning after a break, ask staff about suitable instruction before choosing an activity.

How many dives can I plan?

The proposed daily rhythm allows up to three dives, with morning outings and an afternoon or night option, subject to the itinerary, weather and diver suitability. A night dive is an alternative within the daily plan, not an automatic extra. Confirm the schedule that applies to your dates.

Can non-divers join the island holiday?

Yes, you can discuss a mixed itinerary with Glover’s Reef snorkeling and island time for companions. Tell the team which activities each person wants rather than assuming everyone needs an identical package.

For a practical travel checklist, read our guide to planning a southern Belize diving stay. Then build your trip or contact reservations to review dates, current prices and availability. An inquiry is not a confirmed booking; confirmation follows verified payment and the applicable availability checks.
